Introduction #
Nuabee offers its customers a connection solution between a customer’s fallback site and the restarted servers in the Cloud when a DRP is activated. This appliance, called Nuabee Cloud Access (NCA), also supports regular DRP testing, enabling the customer to remotely test the delivery of the DRP service.
This solution is based on an appliance embedding the OPNsense security distribution (which is an Open Source router/firewall running on the FreeBSD operating system).
The NCA appliance provides a set of basic services (DHCP, DNS) that can be extended as required.
The NCA appliance provides a set of basic services (DHCP, DNS) that can be extended as required. Generally speaking, the use of the NCA appliance enables the construction of network architectures that comply with the notions of Nominal Network and ARP Network.
The NCA appliance is configured before shipment to the customer, and administered remotely by Nuabee via a centralized administration service.
Standard features #
The virtual private network (VPN) takes the form of a logical tunnel established in IPsec protocol to the OTC Cloud’s VPN as a Service (VPNaas) service.

Customized configuration #
Standard configuration extension #
Nuabee can set up additional network services on the NCA.
In this case, the customer must ask Nuabee for a specific access account to the NCA, and will then be able to configure the following elements:
- Specific firewall rules.
- DNS management.
- NTP implementation.
- ..
Configuration extensions requiring analysis #
Nuabee can set up additional network services that require a specific joint analysis before implementation.
- Configure a different address range.
- Configure different VLANs, tagged or untagged, on the 3 interfaces other than the WAN interface
- a switch following the NCA is highly recommended for VLAN management.
- Configure specific firewall rules.
- Configure IPSEC or OpenVPN VPNs.
- Network diagnostics.
